The Ripper

When I think of a massive wave, the first thing that comes to my mind is a rip current that can flush me out to sea forever.

Well, it turns out that you can call these impressive waves “a ripper” because of the powerful undercurrent.

In relation, “The Ripper” is a poem that I wrote to make sense of an experience where a wave ripped the faith out of a relationship.

Now, let me explain the writing process.

“The Ripper” begins with the line, “waves wash his divided sand.”

This line is referring to the divide that a person might feel after a separation.

Next, the second line goes on to say, “can you hear it whisper.”

I wrote this line based on the silent feeling on a beach in the evening when you can hear the waves move the sand.

But, the third line is not a calm sediment, “a lie or righteous stand.”

Both actions are very common in a relationship, but in this writing, the righteous stand speaks to me. Anyone who has delt with this kind of defiance can feel the righteous flame roaring, wow!

After all, “she owns The Ripper.”

The fourth line to this writing (that I own) relates to the feeling of love that is ripped out to sea by a metaphorical woman.

“Oh, those willful plans,” the fifth line to this writing explains how a person’s willpower can be overwhelming in a sinking relationship.

What is not overwhelming is the sixth line to the poem, “listen to them flicker.”

This line explains how the bad will is washing out of the mythical man and womans mind.

Finally, the last line is everlasting, “as he waits to take her hand.”

It encompasses every part of the authentic experience because strong feelings linger forever.

The great news is that this writing can linger forever with the purchase of a wall art design.

Every wall art design is made personally just for you, so it can take up to 2-weeks for delivery.
